Polaroid tv support
The problem seems to be the TV and in particular the wifi card. Fortunately I do have good internet service over wifi. Unfortunately I don’t have access to ethernet connection in my TV room. I don't know if this option is available for you but I figured I would mention it. I was able to get an ethernet switch/splitter that gave me another ethernet connection to connect to the TV. I had run that ethernet cable years ago when I found that the VOD on DirecTV ran a lot smoother with a direct ethernet connection rather than wifi. >In my case I had an existing ethernet cable in my system that was connected to a DirecTV DVR/reciever. My point to all of this is: if Samsung is trying to build a better app experience, they should put in a more capable wifi card. The Samsung TV apps running on Tizen coupled with 5GHz and the little Samsung remote for navigating, really does the job! With iTunes for Samsung TVs coming around the corner I am thinking I may not upgrade my old Apple TV.
#Polaroid tv support how to
The TV was only receiving data at 1.5 Mbps, until I figured out how to point the TV to 5GHz.
This time round I decided to give the TV apps a try but was quite disappointed with their performance. I specifically didn’t want TV apps preferring to go with an AppleTV. I purchased TV as smart TVs were just hitting the market. My last TV, a very good “dumb” Samsung Plasma TV had no apps. I have been on the fence about the app streaming part of Smart TVs for many years. They will not detect 5 GHz networks.Īs an aside, I find it interesting Samsung would only put a 2.4GHz card in a smart TV loaded with apps, in 2018.
Model tv only has a 2.4Ghz card in the device. 2018 models NU7100/NU710D, NU7200, and NU7300/NU730D only support 2.4 GHz networks.
